How do you come up with your stories?

This is a familiar question! The truth is, they just come to me, often in the bath tub. I do live in the Wild Wild West where there's plenty of inspiration for my western small town/cowboy romances!

Are you books available in audio?

Yes! Well, almost all of them! They're available on Amazon, Apple, Google and other stores where audiobooks are available. I've shared links on each book's product page so you can access them.

How do I join your influencer list?

Please fill out my influencer list sign up form! I contact this preferred list about sales, promotions, new releases and more. This is the group that receives early access to ARCs, where a reader receives a copy in exchange for an honest review. Click here to join the influencer list!

How do I receive ARCs of your books?

There are two ways for a chance to receive an ARC of one of my new releases. Sign up for my influencer team (click here), or watch for book specific ARC interest forms as they come up. Every person who has a bookish social media presence will be considered!

What languages are your books in?

All of my books are in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. Some are also available in Swedish, Portuguese and Dutch.

I keep trying to buy your books but the - Page Says Try Again Later

We apologize for this issue. Our store is hosted on the Shopify platform. They have informed us that customers may be experiencing an error that reads " Too many attempts: Please try again in a few minutes." At times, this error message can occur between selecting a shipping method or when executing credit card payment. Sometimes, frequent testing at checkout will trip a system that they have in place to protect the merchants accounts from bot-like behavior. You can attempt to use a different browser, or clear your cache and cookies from your browser’s settings. Shopify has let us know they are actively working on fixing this issue. If you experience this, please email vanessavaleauthor@gmail.com with a screenshot showing this error that covers the entire page including the bottom. There should be a request ID at the bottom that we will need to forward to Shopify to continue to troubleshoot this issue.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! However check and ensure your country is an option at checkout.

How are my paperback books shipped?

All paperback books are printed on demand by our trusted supplier BookVault. BookVault uses reliable carriers to ensure that your order arrives safely and promptly. Once an item has shipped, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number and how to track the item.

U.S. orders sent by Vanessa directly will be shipped Media Mail.

International orders shipped from U.S./Vanessa directly via United States Post Office International service options.

Non-refundable and non-returnable unless damaged from shipping. All rates include shipping and handling to cover packaging materials.

I placed an order. Now what?

You will receive an email confirming your purchase and we will get to work on packing up your items! Once a order has shipped from us, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number and how to track the item.

Where are my books?

If you ordered a SIGNED PAPERBACK, those ship within 2-3 days + whatever timing was associated with your shipping method at checkout (usually via USPS media mail and International Priority.)

If you have purchased an unsigned book, these are printed on demand and ship from the warehouse closest to your location. (There are both US, CA, AU and UK locations) They will email you tracking information once it has left their facility. Most books can be printed within these time frames:

Paperback orders - 7-10 business days
Special Editions - 4-6 business WEEKS

They will then ship via the method you selected at check out. Please be sure to add the timing listed at check in addition to the time frames above.

The US location has been so overwhelmed with orders in the past, sometimes they support it by printing the books at their UK location, which due to customs, can add to the delivering time frame. Unfortunately, I do not control which location they are printed at, so please be patient and give yourself plenty of time ahead of any occasions to order these.

Tracking my package/Lost packages/Undelivered packages/address issues

Track your package:

You can always log into your account to check on your order, tracking will be visible in your account. When your order is complete, and ships you will be sent an email with a tracking number.

If your shipment is delayed or hasn’t shown up/moved for a few days you need to contact USPS/your local post office. Please do not contact us before contacting USPS/your local post office, we can only see/get the same information you have on your Tracking Number.

Lost Packages:

If USPS/your local post office marks your package as lost or undeliverable, please contact USPS/your local post office and escalate with them via a claim form or helpline.

We will not be sending out replacements for lost packages until a claim has been made with USPS/your local post office. Once a claim is filed we can issue store credit or a replacement at our discretion.

Undelivered Packages/Missing Deliveries:

If USPS/your local post office marks your package as delivered but you have not received your package, please contact USPS/your local post office and escalate/file a claim with them.

We are not responsible for stolen packages, therefore they will not be refunded or replaced. Once your package leaves us, it is out of our control and under the responsibility of USPS/your local post office.

Address issues/mistakes:

Please, please ensure you triple check the shipping address you are inputting on to your account/order before checking out. Vanessa Vale and Bridger Media have no way of knowing your address, only what is inputted on the site when you check out.

We will not be held responsible for resending packages for customers who have entered the wrong addresses/move house and don't update their order.

Orders that are shipped out to a wrong/old/unoccupied address will be met with a reshipment charge. Alternatively, your order will be refunded minus the initial shipment charge if one was made.

E-Book Downloads

How do I get my ebooks?

When purchased, our trusted ebook distribution partner, BookFunnel, will email you a web link providing immediate online access to your eBook.

The online page at BookFunnel also offers instructions on how to download your Ebook or deliver the file to your Kindle, iPhone, Android device, Nook or Kobo.

If you have any issues accessing your purchased Ebook or do not receive a download email, visit https://bookfunnel.com/help/.

I didn't receive my ebooks

If you missed the link to download on our confirmation page, have no fear! Just after you received your emailed receipt you should have received an email from help@bookfunnel.com. If you did not, check your junk/spam folder. Alternatively, you can login or create an account with BookFunnel where all your purchases will be if you use the same email address you used at check out. Click here to be redirected to their site. If you didn’t receive a receipt and don’t see the purchases in your BookFunnel account, there’s a good chance you mistyped your email at checkout. Please email vanessavaleauthor@gmail.com with the correct email address and name you purchased the book(s) under and we can resend the links. 

I found my download link but when I click on it, it says it has expired

Links are only active for 2 weeks from the date of purchase due to BookFunnel's policy.  If you email help@bookfunnel.com they are able to reset the links for you. Bookfunnel can easily help you when you contact them with your order number & email address you used to purchase the books.

Returns

What is your return policy?

Unfortunately, we do not accept change of mind returns. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we stand behind the quality of our products and believe that you will love them just as much as we do!

What if my product is damaged?

If a book is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong title or format, we will evaluate the issue and make it right. Returns are eligible for defective or damaged items if you contact us within 7 days of receiving item. For any refund queries, please email vanessavaleauthor@gmail.com
